Welcome to According to Q, the blog.  When I first set my mind to venture into the world of blogging, I thought, ‘Who am I kidding? The blogosphere is already saturated with every kind of blog and blogger known to man! Am I crazy?? What will make mine any different??’  Well, I’m from Memphis and that should count as a reason #1, wouldn’t you say?  Without sounding vain, I think I’m pretty fly! That’s reason #2.  I have a lot to say about everything and I truly need a creative outlet!  There.  Three very awesome reasons I decided to go for it!  So, why me?  I’m a real, budget conscious lady living in an insanely overpriced world who loves a good sale, sports, travel, food, fitness, and all things fashion-related and chic. 

Several efforts at naming my blog were made (along many sad attempts of word play with the letter Q), until I finally decided to go with ‘According to Q: Life. Style. Memphis. And Everything in Between’.  In my time of name contemplation and research, I stumbled upon this site.  While I found lots of great Memphis-based blogs, there were only a few with a fashion/style perspective.  Why not add a little sass and spice to the mix, eh??  So, here I am chronicling life as my style continues to evolve and life gives me tons of laughter, love, and new adventures.  Through the eyes of my blog, I hope you see a different side (read: the chic side) of Memphis, see that one can be fly without breaking the bank, and help me stylishly challenge myself and my closet.  So, there you have it!  Now, let’s see where this journey takes me…you…us.
