Disclaimer: It’s not a fancy outfit. I really wanted to test out my camera and the scenery to see what I have to work with. I did, however, think that I was working it! I might even be smizing! Oh, and never mind the bad hair day.
Having said all of that, here we go….
What I Wore…Tartan Popover

I wore this to work. Just a regular day at the office, but I had a dinner meeting afterwards. The style plan was something comfortable enough for work that could stylishly transition to dinner with colleagues at The Capital Grille. I have been eyeing tartan/plaid all over the place, but honestly, I’ve never really been into it. I saw this popover on sale at J. Crew + 40% off and thought I’d take the plunge.
The popover fits a little very boxy so I grabbed a belt to cinch my waist and popped up the sleeves (and collar). My closet MVP pencil skirt and a peep-toe pump were a no-brainer!
According to Q, a pencil skirt, easy top, and belted waist can easily take you to the office and beyond.
Self-evaluation: First, I love love love my camera!!! However, I think there are way too many shadows; I need to work on my angles; Scouting locations for shoots needs to be on the top of my priority list!!! My highlighter from Victoria’s Secret and nude lip are KILLING IT!! Ha!
