This weekend’s cold front didn’t stop me from enjoying The Cooper-Young Festival. The chill and a little peek of the sun were the perfect setting for a Saturday afternoon stroll through midtown Memphis.
There was music, lots of local, eclectic gifts and ‘whatnots’, and everyone’s favorite festival food. I didn’t partake, but apparently, Wild Bill’s Old Fashioned Soda Pop was a hit with unlimited refills and the nostalgic tin can cups. My favorite is always the cool, refreshing shaved ice stand. The sun came out just in time for me to need a little cooling off.
My style game plan was cool and girly. I decided to pair a camo printed tee with ladylike pleats. White Chuck Taylors were perfect for walking and my silver accessories seemed to attract many a photo bomber. Fun times.
The Starting Lineup ~ Camo Tee: J. Crew | Skirt: J. Crew | Sneakers: Converse | Crossbody bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Mani: CND Vinylux ‘Rock Royalty’ | Lip Color: MAC Rihanna Viva Glam 2
I fell in love with this booth selling vintage eyeglass frames. I don’t wear glasses, but that didn’t stop me from trying on a few pairs. It was truly heaven for cat-eye lovers.
According to Q, Pairing ‘tough’ and feminine is unexpectedly chic! The toughness of camo with feminine pleats was the perfect mix for a fall festival! Next up, leather and lace!
