Fully Vested | Long Vest + A Little Wine

I’m a tall girl, and I like everything long: pants, winter coats, and (as of late) vests.  Long vests have emerged for the fall and were all over the Spring/Summer 2015 runways, so they’re here to stay.  Of course a long vest cannot replace the functionality of a coat or my beloved blazer, but it can add a pristine layer over sweaters and dresses as well as polish up jeans and pants.  This one from Ann Taylor with it’s black chicness and faux leather accents caught my eye, and I must say that I’m in love!

According to Q - Fully VestedOn first instinct, I decided to pair the vest with black and denim.  I grabbed my favorite leopard clutch and some wine in the form of a d’orsay pump and complimentary lip color to pull it all together (and kick things up a notch).According to Q-Fully Vested 3The Starting Lineup ~ Vest: Ann Taylor (similar/save) | Sweater: Target | Denim: J. Crew | Pumps: Nine West (similar/splurge) | Clutch: Antonio Melani (via Dillard’s) | Sunnies: Ray Ban | Lip: M.A.C. ‘Rebel’ (mixed with a little Wet & Wild ‘Cherry Blossom’)

According to Q, long vests are here to stay!  Grab one to layer over practically anything from a basic white button-up to a chic printed dress.  You’ll definitely see this one again!
