This post title should really be: The outfit formally known as what I was going to wear for NYE if I had actually gone somewhere other than home. Ha! But that’s too long. [Sidenote: I did actually wear a version of this on a previous NYE night out with friends.]
Usually lots of glitz and glamour are in store to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another. But, as I stated in an earlier post, I’ve been all about tuxedos for this holiday season. Well, Tuxedo 2.0 strikes would’ve struck again, but this time in the form of classic black and white. Of course, I can’t do B&W without a pop of color and some serious Miranda Priestley attitude. Hmph. Can’t you hear JT and Jay-Z in the background singing, “I be on my suit and tie ish, tie ish?” Yep. This look is most definitely borrowed from the boys (as my photog Kim said), but red lips and heels give it a very feminine twist. The pants and sleeves help to ward of the cold, too. And can we just have a moment for this red lapel flower??? I think it really kicks the look up a few notches. I could replace the flower with a Chanel brooch, too. If I had one. Hello, after Christmas/New Year’s surprise! Anyone? Anywho, a minaudière clutch was all I needed to finish the look and be ready to walk into any NYE gathering like a BOSS!

According to Q, a white and black tuxedo blazer is a classic item that can be worn many different ways. Dress it up for a NYE or other festive occasion or make it casual with a graphic tee and jeans (my favorite). Either way, you’ll have BOSS LADY written all over you!
Yesss! I love the title of your post (Jay-Z). You look so stunning! I love the androgynous look. #Perfection
