New look. AND A
NEW BETTER ME!
So, I’m about to be very transparent. Are you ready? Deep breath. Here we go. Have you ever felt like a constant frown? Like you had to go through the daily humdrum and felt just that…humdrum. But, you told yourself that you couldn’t let anyone see it? That was me. All happy and smiles on the outside, but inside was an entirely different story. When it got to the point where I could no longer smile for the camera, I knew I had to step away and get some things in order. Over the past year, I’ve done just that. I GOT MY LIFE Y’ALL!
See, the world we live in makes perfection seem like reality. And no one is willing to admit when things aren’t as picturesque as others think it should be. I’ve learned that the definition of these levels of “good”, happiness, and perfection lie in the heart of the beholder. I’m perfectly okay with admitting that life wasn’t perfect and I wasn’t happy. HOWEVER, I knew I couldn’t dwell there forever. I made plans and took steps to turn my frown upside down. And it feels good. Life is good. Not perfect, but really good. And that smile you see NOW is real.

Now that all of that has been purged (wooo-sahh)…I’m super excited about getting back to interacting with the blogosphere and living life in the FAB lane!
According to Q, life can be hard to navigate at times, and it’s okay to admit that. But, the key to getting over the hump is to devise a plan and do what Ms. Elizabeth Taylor advised us to do – “Pour a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together.”
Cheers to new beginnings and to our own definitions of happiness!
