So you’ve seen the fun we had for Spring Break, now let’s talk about what I wore. It’s a style blog, duh! I wrote here about how I packed lots of basics in a capsule wardrobe for this trip. I usually have specific outfits in mind with everything planned out from jewelry to shoes. Lots of random things with lots of coordinating shoes. SMH at myself. This time, I just grabbed a few things I could mix and match and it worked out beautifully. I knew we’d do lots of walking so my shoe choices were sneakers, both regular and the slip on style (which I’m loving for spring). I took one pair of wedge booties. I must say, every outfit was easy and comfortable yet stylish and it didn’t take a lot of thought or effort. Did you notice my color palette?? We can always win with black and white! I’m definitely trying this capsule wardrobe thing again!
Unfortunately, I was only able to capture one and a half look on photo (because we were having fun), but you’ll also see the way I put together other looks.
DAY 1: Black Joggers (h&m) | Black Tee (target) | Camo Jacket (F21) | Red Sneakers (Nike) | Black Crossbody (Rebecca Minkoff) | Sunnies (Tom Ford via Nordstrom Rack)
DAY 2 (AM): Ripped Denim (Gap) | White Tee (Target) | Gray Duster Cardigan (Sugar Plum Consignments)| Silver Sequin Slip on Sneakers (Vans) | LV Tote
DAY 2 (PM): Black Jeans (Gap) | Gray Tee (Banana Republic) | Black Duster Cardigan (Express)| Black Booties (Nine West) | Black Crossbody (Rebecca Minkoff)
DAY 3: Green Chinos (J. Crew) | White Tee (Target) | Denim Jacket (Gap) | Red Sneakers (Nike)
According to Q, the capsule wardrobe is a super easy way to pack light for vacation and still keep your options plentiful. I’m definitely going to try this again!!! Next time, I’ll even try it with a different color theme. Check out some other options I would’ve put together if I had more days (see pic below).
Cheers to unlimited style and the basics that make it possible!
