I may be showing my age when I say that I remember wearing mules in college circa 1996. My favorite pair was a black leather wedge style made by Nine West. I. WORE. THEM. OUT! And by worn out, I mean sole coming off. Don’t judge. Those mules were comfortable and went with everything! They were the lick then (that phrase also shows my age), BUT NOW mules are probably the most popular shoe on the market. Since last spring, this shoe has grown more chic and stylish than the 1995-96 versions I remember. I don’t really know how I feel about wearing them again, however, I’ve seen some super fly mules lately that make me rethink some things.

According to Q, mules are in, but I’m on the fence. I don’t know if this “trend” is an actual trend or will they stick around becoming more stylish and functional. I do know that mules are the perfect mix of style and comfort and are versatile enough to be great with dresses, cropped pants, jeans, and more.

I love mules! I hope I love them for a while too! It is weird wearing a trend a second time around. I wore chokers all the time when I was growing up so I was iffy to try them again but I caved in! Still haven’t got into the overall trend…
