The New Suit

Over time, suits have evolved into more than the basic jacket and skirt/pant combo. To me, this equals more chic and stylish. Even the colors have extended beyond the basic blue, black, and gray!  Many designers are giving us cool options like vests and peplum tops to pair with our suiting bottoms (the cropped and skinny pants are my favorite.)  This creates versatility & helps bring some modern flare to the work wardrobe.  When I saw this combo from VBxTarget, I knew it had to be in my closet.  Perfectly coordinated pieces give us tons of outfit and styling options.  I’m not one to go matchy matchy with suiting unless I must, but I truly love the idea of “The New Suit” with pieces other than a blazer.

I wore this to a graduation that happened to be outdoors.  This outfit was perfectly cool and comfortable.  Metallic accessories were a no brainer, and my favorite pair of shoes finished the look beautifully.  I went all the way monochromatic and topped it off with a pink lip.  What do you think?

According to Q, coordinated pieces will maximize your wardrobe and help make daily dressing so much easier. Try suiting other than the basic blazer and I’m sure office heads will turn.

Cheers to stepping outside of the traditional suiting box!
