Bawse’d up. Caped up.

According to Q Memphis Fashion BloggerThe title of this post was inspired by lipstick. Bawse by Smashbox. I loved the name first. Bawse just resonates with the girl boss in me. I also really liked the color. A girl can never have too many red lipstick options. It’s a smashing (no pun intended) deep red that may be climbing up the red lipstick poll with my beloved Ruby Woo by MAC, Stila Beso, and now Fenty Stunna in Uncensored.

Well, what’s a red lip without a black and white look to make it standout?!?! The weather was perfect for a light topper & this cape, that I don’t wear nearly as much as I should, fit the bill nicely. I wore this to work with cropped pants & again on the weekend with ripped black jeans. 9 months pregnant and I think I handled this look like a BAWSE. If you’re into capes, you could easily recreate this look! What do you think???

Cape : The Limited Olivia Pope Collection (old). (Love this one in navy & this camel one) | Tee : Liz Lange Maternity | Jeans : Gap Maternity | Booties : Nine West | Bag : Zara (similar) | Lip : ‘Bawse’ Smashbox Cosmetics

According to Q, a red lip adds instant fab to a black and white look. Whether casual, for the office, or dressed up for a night out, this classic combo will never get old.

Cheers to a good red lip and the confidence & pop it brings to any outfit!
