Maternity Leave

So, I’ve been on an impromptu maternity leave.  I’m sure you’ve noticed.  Of course, I planned the maternity leave from work, but if I’m honest, not from the blog.  Unfortunately, I didn’t have my life together enough towards the end of my pregnancy where I could have a nice stash of blog posts ready to publish while I was nursing my ladybug and enjoying the newborn life.  I literally was supposed to take photos the day I went into labor.  I’m a work in progress.  ATQ is a work in progress.  However, I do long for the day ATQ runs like a well-oiled machine.  #goals.  #makingithappen.

January is the start of the new year and the perfect time to set goals, revamp some things that didn’t work the year before, and start working the plan.  I recently read that January is the trial period for the new year and things really start to get going in February.  And I agree!  Let’s just throw the whole January away!  Seriously, I have used January not only to settle into this new mommy role (again), but also to think about the direction I’m going with my little corner of the blogosphere.  Not to disappoint any further, I’ll have you know I’ve been handling business (blog related and otherwise) in a very fashionable and trendy collection of joggers, yoga pants, and nursing bras. HA!  Cue Drake ‘sweatpants, hair tied, chilling with no make up on…’  That’s been me for the last 7 weeks.  I’ve been chilling.  HARD (or as hard as one can chill with a newborn.)  But, I’ve also been revamping some things and laying out plans for the 2018 version of ATQ.

I just wanted to check in to let you, my fabulous readers, know that I’m still here, and I’m hoping you’ll continue to come along on this ride as we grow in life, love, and style.  And as we strive to be become more oiled.
