The Memphis fashion blogger community is small, but growing. Businesses are starting to notice our presence in the city, and I couldn’t be more elated. Last week, the folks over at The Shops of Saddle Creek, a long time staple in the Germantown area, set up a super fun blogger meet-up for spring. Meet-ups are great because they allow bloggers to fellowship with one another as well as connect with local businesses. What’s better than getting to hang out with some of my blogger friends to sip, shop, and network?!
I was coming from work, so I missed out on the very first stop. When I arrived, everyone was gathering at Southern Avenue, a premier interiors and gift emporium. This space is gorgeous and houses so many great home decor and trinket options from jewelry to candles to books. There is truly something for everyone & every occasion, including my book club. The owner is super nice, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more. I told her we’re gonna be bffs.
While at Southern Avenue, we were greeted by a sommelier ready to pour and pair with some delectable offerings from Rise, Saddle Creek’s newest restaurant. Rise specializes in biscuits and donuts, and although I tried to resist, they looked too yummy not to try. I was NOT disappointed. The lamb biscuit & creme brûlée donuts were heavenly!! I most certainly will be dining in to get the full Rise experience. They’re open daily from 7a-2p. See the full menu HERE.
Our next step let us tap into our inner DIY goddess. Paper Source is there to serve all of your paper needs. They house everything from wrapping paper to note cards (I’m going to swipe up all of the initial Q they have in stock) to wedding invitations and sweet little gifts. We got to make empowerment banners and it was pretty cool.
The last stop allowed us indulge in a little shopping (because we’re fashion bloggers, duh!) at Indigo. Unfortunately, I didn’t get pics here because I was too busy talking and checking out the deals. I found some cute, dainty necklaces that I can’t wait to wear. Their spring & summer inventory is in stock and ready for you to see. So stop by soon!
I was trying to usher in spring with my outfit. However, judging by this week’s forecast, I didn’t do a very good job. This look was super comfortable and perfect for going from the office to an after work event. I’m so ready for real spring temps, but until then, I’ll continue to try to persuade mother nature with my clothes.

When you’re done, you can stop by Rise for a sweet little snack. Many thanks to Saddle Creek for hosting us!!! See you again soon!

Looks like you had a great time at the event and there was a lot of really cute stuff (I love the home decor from the first few shots!)! It’s always fun to meet other bloggers in real life, too. Your bomber jacket is so cute!
