Thailand Travel Diary | Style

When traveling, I usually go for simple, but I try to make a statement with my overall look.  Comfortable, vacay chic is what I call it.  Kimonos are usually a staple and there may be a hat spotting or two.  Dora, my trusty backpack, is also an essential.  She’s large enough to hold all of my ish yet leave me hands free to experience and explore, especially during excursions.  This time, I also let my belt bag/fanny pack tag along.  It was a great addition to my vacay wardrobe and may become a staple for me regardless of where the trend goes.  For Thailand days, I stuck with flats and flowy. When visiting the temples, we had to be sure our knees and shoulders were covered.  I reserved the heels for dinner.  Oh, and my crew usually does theme nights (corny but we like it).  There was a LBD night, kimono night, and a gold night that we were too tired to even do.  This time we even took our themes to the pool and beach because our beach is better!

No one wants to fuss with a bunch of make up on vacay, so my face is usually super natural as well.  You know I’m not a foundation girl, but the Thailand heat would’ve made me throw it all away on Day 1! Just a little concealer, a touch of color on the cheeks (blush), mascara, and highlighter were all I needed! The one staple of my vacay makeup bag are colored eye liners! Blue and green are usually my go-tos, but I’ve experimented with purple too.  And only on the bottom lash line for a fun pop of color.  I hardly ever travel internationally with my “good” jewelry, so I mostly stick with cool earrings and my bead bracelets stacked to the gawds are a must!!!

All looks very cute! Looks like a fun time. You didn’t share the deets on that red fanny pack, hunty! That’s super cute, also love the shape of that straw hat.
