When it comes to black dresses, my philosophy is YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY! But, if you’re going to pick them, you need to be sure they’re two things: interesting and versatile. Now, there are some that fit the occasion and the occasion only. A black sheath dress for church or the office. That fit and flare dress for a night out. The off the shoulder LBD for date night or cocktail party. You get my drift? A black dress is a black dress is a black dress, so choosing one that has interesting details is key. Not only will it stand out, you’ll be able to style it different ways to get more life out of it, and ultimately your wardrobe.
I chose this one from Zara for the sleeves and silhouette. The easiness of this dress made it a clear winner. I can throw it on for any occasion, work, play, a night out, or even a graduation. For the first look, I was going to a graduation and wanted simple, so I threw on some cool heels and a statement necklace. For the office, the white blazer gave me a little pop and a different statement necklace that said this lady is ready to make some boss moves. Lastly, for a #momlife kind of weekend (running around with the teen + 10 month old ladybug in tow), I threw on a denim jacket with my sequin vans, a bracelet stack, and hoops. The dress is interesting by itself and super versatile with a few cool accessories.

Cheers to being a versatile chic with a versatile closet!
Cute looks, I love this dress style and never would have thought to add a jacket. I would have thought it needed a different sillhouette but you proved me wrong!
