February. The month of black history and love and for Memphis, torrential monsoons and schizophrenic weather. The past 28 days have been really dreary for the most part, but these are a few things that made me happy during the month of February.
THE DOUX :: I found these hair products via one of my fave natural hair vloggers and I AM TOTALLY IN LOVE! I have used these the entire month and they will definitely be a staple in my curly hair regimen. If you follow me on IG, you’ve heard me mention how smitten I am with this line. LIP SCRUB :: The winter months can be very harsh on skin, hair, etc. The Revlon Lip Kiss Exfoliating Lip Exfoliator helps to keep my lips from being so dry and isn’t as messy as other lip scrubs. I use it just about every day and it has done wonders to keep me luscious during the brutal cold temperatures. This is available at a local drugstore near you.
THE LIP BAR :: I’ve been loving this Black owned brand for a while, but I noticed I chose them quite a bit during February. I usually gravitate toward the liquid lip colors, but this month, the Merlot lipstick was bae! I grab mine in Target (and you can too) or you can take a look at the website & see all of what The Lip Bar has to offer.
LONG DENIM JACKET :: Y’all!!! I have worn this jacket so many ways over the last month!!! It’s distressed and great for layering, which means it’s perfect for transitioning into spring. I didn’t know how I’d feel about it being longer than a standard denim jacket, but all of those doubts are long gone now! And the best part, it was super inexpensive. You know how I’m all about saving some coin! Treat yo’self HERE.
