Memphis Fashion Week was this past weekend and kicked off Thursday with Fashion Night Out (FNO). Let me just tell you, every year this event gets better and better. Benefitting the Memphis Fashion Design Network & Emerging Memphis Design Project, it’s the biggest shopping party of the year. This year’s FNO was held in the amazing Crosstown Concourse & there were 2 floors full of amazing vendors. There was jewelry galore, which is my jam, along with a few of the featured designers and a host of other boutiques. We sipped and shopped, mingled and laughed the night away all for a good cause.
Fun times! Now, let’s talk outfit. I wanted something casual and easy as I had been at work all day and didn’t have time for a lot of fussy details. I decided to make a statement with red wide leg pants and a leopard top that really isn’t a top at all. It’s a kimono. *Gasp*
So how did this come about?? Well, the fabric of this kimono is really thin and more fitting for a swimsuit cover-up. One day while playing in the mirror (what, you don’t do that?), and after a few tucks and ties, it turned into a wrap top. Voila, magic! So there. I went on to add black and gold accessories and, of course, a red lip and I was out of the door. What do you think?

According to Q, shopping and schmoozing with Memphis’ most stylish was the perfect way to kick off Memphis Fashion Week. I look forward to it every year and I can’t wait to see the growth for years to come. Speaking of the most stylish, head to my friend KPFusion’s blog for a peek at some of the most stylish Fashion Night Out-ers!
Cheers to Memphis Fashion Week 2019!
