APRIL. The month where the rain comes and nourishes everything. Where spring springs forth. Where we are teased with warmer temps and we know summer is near. We love to see her, but hate all of the wetness she brings. Now that May is here, things are a lot more promising. Here are few things I crushed on in April.
THE PERFECT NUDE :: I rejoiced when Morphe decided to come to Ulta Stores! Now, I can go in the store to test and swatch! Rejoice! One fine Saturday I stumbled upon this gloss and it is going to stay in my makeup bag FOREVER!! The color is FREEBIRD and it is the perfect brown girl nude. BODY BUTTER :: Now, technically this is an everyday favorite. I can’t tell you the last time I purchased any commercial lotion, and Buff City Soap Co. is one of my go-tos for natural body care product. (For my Memphis peeps, yes I have experienced the other one (BB), I’m not a “brat” and I only like certain things scents/items that are rarely available, so I had to move on.) I’ve been really strategic about going towards an overall natural lifestyle, specifically when it comes to what goes into and on my body. The Oatmeal Honey (I’m a simple gal) is one of my favorite scents and since I used up the coconut scent (another fave), I reached for this one for the whole month of April. LEOPARD MULES :: If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know I LoVeS me some leopard. It’s a neutral in any shape or form. I ran across these in early April via Nordstrom Rack, and I have grabbed them more than I’m willing to admit this month. They’ve been paired with everything from jeans to dresses. But hey, when you buy good staple pieces/items, you can wear them over and over again, right? I was a little iffy about them at first, but they are super comfortable and have been a pleasant surprise. Sidenote : my mule game is strong and it may also be slightly OOC. Anyways, get you a pair.
