I usually described my vacay style as comfortable chic. For this trip, that was no exception. In fact, we were so comfortable, we pretty much frolicked in swimsuits and cover-ups every day. The excursions we chose pretty much took up the entire day most days and all required swimwear. I’m still working on the postpartum body situation so high waist 2-pieces or a one piece was definitely the move for all of my swimwear.
We did manage to get dressed up for dinner. I kept everything pretty minimal with simple makeup and jewelry so that the actual outfit could do the talking. You know me and my girls like to have theme nights where everyone is coordinated, but our outfits reflect our individual personality.
Swimsuit : Fashion Nova | Water shoes : Amazon
Swimsuit : Amazon
Swimsuit : Asos (old) | Kimono/Cover-Up : F21 (old) | Turband : H&M
Night 1 : Free Night (No Theme) | Didn’t get a full picture of the dinner look for the first night. Saw this dress on clearance and loved the flowy easiness of it. Loved the colors too and knew I had the perfect shoes for it.
Dress: Madewell (sold out)| Mules : Gianni Bini (old) | Crossbody : Kate Spade (old) | Earrings : Kenneth Jay Lane
Night 2 : Florals | I’m not a huge fan of florals so I had a really hard time finding something I liked. And not just for this trip, something I’d actually wear again. I stumbled upon this jumpsuit and loved that it gave me a mixed print vibe. And yes, it has pockets!!!
Night 3 : Ankara Night | We wanted to bring the motherland to Central America! I paired the top with white jeans and chose nude and gold, tribal accessories. My hair was a mess this day, but I figured big hair when with the lewk.
Top : GrassFields | Jeans : Old Navy | Sandals : Macy’s (old) | Bracelet : Express | Earrings : Zara (old)
Night 4 : All White Everything | This was an easy one but it was so hard to find something I wanted to wear on vacay. I mean there are tons of white options, but for some reason nothing seemed to sit with me until I found this jumpsuit (at the absolute last minute). Nude shoes and dark pink accessories (because I really loved those earrings).
So clearly, Amazon was the lick for this trip. Don’t sleep on them. Yeah, quality and fit can be questionable with some things, but you can come across a few gems every now and then. Again, style doesn’t have to break the bank. It’s all about what you do with what you buy. Costa Rica got a little glimpse of ATQ. My only question is where to next???
Cheers to vacay chic and amazing girls trips!
