Animal prints were all over the runway as a “trend” for fall. As you know, my love of leopard as runs deep so that is one animal print that will never be a trend to me. It’s a neutral that lives forever. It’s a closet staple. A must-have if you will. But another animal print has been gaining traction and getting lots of attention…the ever exotic snakeskin print. It adds edge to any look and can also be considered a neutral. Runways showed head to toe looks, which could be slightly over the top, but let’s talk about how we can make this happen in reality. You can be as bold or as subtle as you’d like, but just know you’re not winning this fall without a piece of python.
Clothing | You can find snake print just about anywhere now in any form, dresses, skirts, blouses, heck even, jumpsuits. They’re even available in nontraditional colors. I loved this jumpsuit because of the easiness and the stripes that gave me a mixed print look without the effort. Find a blouse and pair with your fave pair of black skinny jeans and a dope bootie for a cool evening out or date night. See a skirt you love, add a cream colored silk top and tall boot for a great office look.
Bag | The best way to try a trend is with accessories. A cool hand bag, crossbody, tote, or even a belt bag can add the perfect pop of texture to the look. Color makes all the difference here. Warm toned snakeskin pairs well with nudes, tans, and gold. Cooler toned snakeskin pairs well with grays and black.

Shoes | I always keep a pair of snake print shoes. The ones I own have been in my closet for years. This year, boots have caught my eye. Shoemakers and brands have created some amazing snake print footwear in a variety of colors and tones. A classic pump can go from the office to church. A cool flat is perfect for the weekend. Or a bold boot can truly make a statement.

According to Q, your fall 2019 wardrobe isn’t complete without a little sexiness a lá snakeskin. Go big (think thigh high boots) or be subtle (headband or handbag). Whatever your preference is, just grab something snake print and add an exotic touch to your outfit this season.
Cheers to the animal prints that make us happy!
