So you know how you have a whole outfit laid out in your head and it looks so bomb, but then you put it on and you squint while leaning your head to the side trying to figure out why the real life version doesn’t look like the version in your head? I believe that it only takes one thing to throw an outfit off. Turn it from good to bad. Too much jewelry. Something is ill-fitting. The wrong shoes. Could be big or small. Enter this outfit.
Now, the whole thing is not a bust. I actually like the outfit itself. The top is my new fave combination : ivory sleeveless blouse with ivory sleeveless vest and Chanel pin! So classicly chic and perfect to show off the guns (pow pow). I’ve worn it multiple times this summer with different bottoms. These pants!!! I stalked these pants until they were on mega sale and I’m so happy that I was still able to get my size. I love the color combo (the teal and red are very unexpected) and my Lou Lou bag is the exact shade of the stripe. Match made in heaven right?
Since snakeskin is so hot right now, I wanted to add a touch of it. I had 3 snake print shoes to choose from and I chose these. Uggghh. While it doesn’t look terrible, I think I could’ve gone in a totally different shoe direction. Anywho, all I could do was chuckle because I was already out and about with no other options available. So here! A fly outfit with the wrong shoes. I see this happen all of the time, but now I’ve become a statistic! Insert face palm. And to add fuel to the fire, my boobage kept popping my blouse open. Wrong bra? Maybe. All I know is, I just wanted to throw the whole outfit away. Note to self, try on the outfit in real life and not just in your head.

According to Q, life isn’t perfect and not every outfit will be either. We just have to own it and still walk with grace and confidence. Accentuate the positive and don’t focus on the negative while learning the lesson of what NOT to do next time!
What other shoes would you have chosen?
Cheers to fashion mishaps and the lessons we learn from them!
